GoYogi is a Nebraska-based, 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated to advocating for mental health education and raising awareness for youth mental health issues. Our programs are secular and are currently used in schools and care centers around Nebraska and India.

Our number one goal is to work with school and other educational institutions to make student mental health a priority. We currently have about 1,600 individuals using the program, and we are always looking for new groups and individuals to join us! We have a team of school administrators and students we rely on to teach the curriculum and to bring awareness to mindful practices.

Education is a vital part of this program as we want all of our students to feel safe and strong enough to care for their mental health. We also aim to provide students with access to tangible resources and mental health professionals.

how we started

GoYogi began because of the lack of access to mental health care for students and other youth. Across the United States and even around the world, access and availability to mental health resources is hard to find, and more often than not, the stigma against mental health issues is an obstacle to seeking care.

By normalizing proactive mental health care, such as mindfulness or breathing techniques into our daily lives, we hope to fight the stigma against mental health issues.

Other existing mindfulness-based education programs usually require a teacher or administrator to attend a training course and pay large amounts of money, which school budgets rarely have space for. GoYogi is the only organization that offers a mindfulness-based mental health education curriculum free of cost and customized to meet school students’ needs.

By using audio/video technology, our certified yoga instructors will create audio lessons best suited for a school environment, that requires no expertise from the school administrator. Our program can be used by anyone at anytime!
